About this trip

Experience an ocean of Mercy

Find peace and feel the Divine as we meander through the Sacred Forest. This prayerful walk will be that and so much more as we walk through Tuscany and Umbria. Experience healing in the sanctuary of La Verna, one of the places that St. Francis loved the most. Explore the grounds, find your quiet place, and feel yourself being embraced by a divine presence. This profound silence is broken only by the chiming of church bells. A tradition held for almost 600 years, these bells call pilgrims to the procession or prayer. Let the songs of the friars wash over you as you make your way to the exact spot where Francis first received his stigmata. As we leave La Verna, we will saunter through Umbria and Tuscany, discovering quaint villages, wild fruit trees, local wines, and delicious foods. This soulful pilgrimage will not only feed your soul but wrap you in an ocean of Mercy!

It was the trip of a lifetime! Mary, Katie and Dawn were wonderful guides who went out of their way to see to our needs. The itinerary was wonderfully planned and executed. We had time for food, fellowship, great hikes, prayer and amazing sightseeing. I am really glad I went on this trip !

It was a wonderful experience . Overwhelmed by the spiritual intensity at the various churches etc that we visited. Would be great if time for daily spiritual reflection was specifically listed in the program after pre-trip consultation with the spiritual director that was joining the pilgrimage. Apart from this, it was a great trip ! Mary, Katie and Dawn are awesome role models. Am so glad I journeyed with them 🙏🏾

I had a great time in Italy as this is my first Europe trip. I met wonderful people and tried nice Italian food. The hotel rooms are just alright. I opted for single room and was once assigned a room far away from the rest of the groupmates. This was fixed by Mary, appreciated her effort. In addition, I needed help to carry my luggage. The guides are very helpful and Dawn even got medicines for my arm, thank you very much. As a non-walking member, I would prefer for a more structured pilgrimage program if possble. Thank you to Dawn, Mary and Katie :)

Loved every part of our journey through Rome and Italy. Beautiful churches, powerful spiritual moments, great company. A bit hot, but totally worth it. Would do it again!
