About your trip

You are invited to join us on the Inn to Inn Camino along the Portuguese Coastal Camino! This beautiful journey takes you along the stunning Atlantic coastline of northern Portugal and Galicia. You'll be guided by the rhythm of your steps and the sound of the ocean as you stroll through coastal towns and forests, and enjoy the healing power of the ocean.

This is a quieter and fascinating option of the Caminos in Portugal. The Caminho da Costa or Portugues Coastal Way runs from Porto to Santiago, and you'll have the opportunity to appreciate the magnificent beauty of the Atlantic coastline, listen to the waves break, breathe in the ocean's scent, and feel the breeze as you walk towards Santiago.

Itinerary Highlights

Experience the best of both worlds as you walk along the wild Atlantic Ocean and the enchanting Galician countryside. Enjoy the diverse scenery of forests, vineyards, farmland, and small fishing villages. Smell the ocean, feel the sand, and take a dip in its refreshing waters.

Lounge on the beach and bask in the sunshine.

Explore the UNESCO city of Porto and walk through its alley-woven historic center. Savor the fresh seafood, shellfish, and local wine along the coast. Discover the historic medieval towns of Baiona, Pontevedra and Padro. Visit the beautiful and best-preserved historical center of Viana do Castelo in Portugal before reaching the natural border of Spain and Portugal at the River Miño. Cross beautiful Romanesque bridges and indulge in Galicia’s gastronomic delights.

Walk through chestnut groves, vineyards, pine, and eucalyptus woods. Spend the night in Caldas de Reis, a spa town, and take a dip in a natural hot spring. Continue walking into Santiago, another UNESCO city, and receive your Compostela. So many great cities await your exploration.
